A car struck and killed an elderly woman as she walked across Knights Road near Franklin Mills mall on Jan. 29.
The accident occurred at about 6:15 p.m. on the 12800 block of Knights Road, police said. The site is near the intersection of McCarthy Circle and the Bally Total Fitness center. The victim died about 30 minutes later at Aria Health-Torresdale.

Police did not release her name or information about the striking vehicle. The driver remained at the crash scene and was not charged criminally. ••
